Delete Your Account

Request deletion of your MateUp account and associated data.

You can request deletion of your MateUp account and personal data at any time. Deletion applies to the account you created in the MateUp — Event Network app.

Steps to request deletion

  1. Open the MateUp app and go to Profile → Settings → Privacy & Data.
  2. Tap "Delete My Account" and confirm.
  3. Alternatively, email mateup.info@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and your registered email address.
  4. Your request will be processed within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your profile (name, age, gender, preferences)
  • Profile photos (main photo, vibe photo)
  • All sparks, connections, and chat messages
  • Venue check-in history
  • Push notification token

What is retained and why

  • Anonymous venue ratings — retained indefinitely (no personal identifiers linked after deletion)
  • Abuse/report records — retained up to 6 months for safety and legal compliance (GDPR Art. 17(3)(b))
  • Aggregated analytics — retained indefinitely (fully anonymized, no personal data)

Data retention period

All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of a confirmed request.
