MateUp lets you connect with people before or during events. Browse tonight's venues, send vibes (interests) to people in PreArrival mode (4 hours before), then verify you're at the venue via location to unlock chat. Everything resets when the event ends!

Yes! You can suspend your account from the Profile page. While suspended, your profile won't appear in browse or search, and you can't send/receive vibes. You can reactivate at any time.

Go to Settings and tap "Delete Account". This will permanently remove all your data including profile, photos, vibes, and messages. This action cannot be undone.

Both you and your mutual vibe must be checked in at the venue location (verified by GPS) to access chat. Make sure you're physically at the venue and have checked in successfully.

All chats and vibes are ephemeral - they automatically disappear when the venue's end time is reached. This keeps MateUp focused on real, in-the-moment connections.

On any profile or chat screen, tap the three dots menu (⋮) in the top right corner. You can choose to Report (for inappropriate behavior) or Block (to prevent future interactions). Blocked users won't see your profile and all mutual vibes are removed.

Location permissions are required to verify you're physically at the venue. This ensures authentic connections and prevents fake check-ins. Your location is only checked when accessing venue features - we don't track you otherwise.
