MateUp – Child Safety, Minor Protection & CSAE Prevention Policy

1. Zero-Tolerance Commitment

MateUp – Event Network (“MateUp”) maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any form of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), grooming, trafficking, or any conduct that endangers minors.

MateUp is an adults-only (18+) platform designed for use exclusively by individuals who have reached the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction.

The use of MateUp by any person under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited.

2. Age Assurance & Minor Access

To prevent minors from accessing the platform, MateUp implements reasonable and proportionate age-assurance measures, which may include:
• Age declaration during account creation
• Manual moderation review where appropriate
• Removal or suspension of accounts suspected to belong to minors

Where MateUp becomes aware or obtains knowledge of facts or circumstances indicating that a user may be under 18 years of age:
• The account may be immediately suspended pending review
• Access to platform features may be restricted
• The account may be permanently removed


MateUp prohibits any interaction between adult users and suspected minors on the platform.

3. Prohibited Conduct (CSAE)

Users are strictly prohibited from creating, uploading, sharing, soliciting, distributing, or facilitating any content or activity that exploits or endangers minors.

Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:

• Grooming or attempted grooming of a minor
• Sextortion involving a minor
• Sexual solicitation of a minor
• Advertising or facilitating child trafficking
• Sexualized communication with a minor
• Attempting to meet a minor for sexual purposes
• Role-play or simulated scenarios involving minors in sexual contexts
• Sexualization of individuals represented as under 18

4. Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

The storage, dissemination, solicitation, or access of CSAM is strictly prohibited on MateUp.
CSAM includes:

• Any visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct
• Any computer-generated or AI-generated depiction of such conduct
• Any content that appears to depict a minor in sexualized form
Upon obtaining knowledge or becoming aware of facts or circumstances indicating the presence of CSAM:
• Access to the content will be disabled without undue delay
• Associated accounts may be suspended or terminated
• Relevant evidence may be preserved for investigation
• Reports may be submitted to competent authorities

5. Notice-and-Action Mechanism

MateUp provides an accessible in-app reporting mechanism that allows users to report:
• Illegal content
• CSAE or CSAM
• Suspected grooming behaviour
• Underage users
• Any violation of this policy

Reports are processed through the following workflow:
1. Intake and automated triage
2. Human moderation assessment
3. Content restriction or removal decision
4. Account-level enforcement (if applicable)
5. Notification to reporting user where appropriate

6. Law Enforcement Cooperation

Where MateUp becomes aware of CSAE-related activity, we may report such activity to:
• National law enforcement authorities
• Competent EU authorities
• Europol
• National Center for Missing & Exploited Children where appropriate
MateUp will cooperate with lawful requests for information in accordance with applicable legal obligations.

7. Data Preservation & Legal Basis

Where necessary for the investigation, prevention, detection, or prosecution of CSAE-related offences, MateUp may preserve relevant user data and content.
Such processing is carried out under:

• Legal obligation
• Public interest
• Protection of vital interests
Preserved data is:
• Stored securely
• Access-restricted
• Retained only for the duration necessary to fulfil legal obligations

8. Enforcement Measures

Violation of this policy may result in:
• Content removal
• Feature restrictions
• Account suspension
• Permanent termination
• Reporting to competent authorities
MateUp reserves the right to take immediate enforcement action where necessary to mitigate risks to minors.

9. Contractual Incorporation

This Child Safety Policy forms an integral part of MateUp’s Terms of Service.

All users agree to comply with this policy as a condition of accessing or using the MateUp platform.

Violation of this policy constitutes a material breach of the user agreement.

10. Transparency & Continuous Risk Mitigation

MateUp maintains internal records of:
• Reported CSAE incidents
• Enforcement actions taken
• Risk-mitigation measures implemented

MateUp regularly reviews and updates its child-safety safeguards to reduce systemic risks associated with misuse of the platform.

Designated Child Safety Contact

MateUp has appointed a designated point of contact responsible for CSAE-related notifications from regulators, trusted flaggers, and law enforcement authorities.
